Assistant Designer

 Fast paced Junior/Contemporary company looking for an associate designer/pre production coordinator.

• Must have a good attitude and be able to work in a past paced environment
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to wear many different hats
• Assist in all pre production needs- setting up cost sheets and coordinating handoff of all information from design through production.
• Assist Designer in concept and research development for seasonal deliveries
• Update line sheets and facilitate work flow as needed
• Assist in developing CAD illustrations for artwork and re-coloration as needed
• Create flat digital sketches for all presentation boards and tech packs
• Attend fittings and keep records as related to updated styles and tech packages
• Update BOMs with all pertinent fabric and trim info
• create tech packs for import costing
• Update and maintain seasonal color development and sketch binders
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with cross functional partners as needed.
• Evaluate and maintain pertinent files and records, databases and other records
• Review Sketches with Director and create tech packages
• Work with pattern maker and sample room to create mock ups on fabric that will translate to real, dimensional garments
• Assist in the sourcing and approval of fabric samples, lab dips, strike-off's and other development materials
• Follow up with cross functional departments on all sourcing and development materials
• Provide support with e-commerce and marketing
