Senior Production Manager - $100K

Seeking a seasoned production manager/leader to handle all aspects of  domestic production and international production. If you don't want a corporate enviroment with layers of approval at every moment but you want to make swoon-worthy garments that you can be proud of, then this might be the perfect environment. Work directly with the founder and designer and truly be involved with creating a wide range of apparel products for specialty stores and as well as large door retailers in the contemporary market. A  small but excellent team at your fingertips help you run all aspect of delivering a great product on time. Bring your  Creativity and strong leadership and create something truly unique. Strong communication skills, extensive garment construction knowledge and preferably some Spanish speaking to help communicate with current contractors. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of production work with the design team 
  • Development/maintenances of seasonal/yearly calendar
  • Communicate daily with overseas and domestic agents, factories, and suppliers
  • Analyze and negotiate costs for garments, fabric, and trims on a seasonal basis to ensure IMU/retail targets are met.
  • Monitor and manage weekly Time and Action charts from multiple vendors
  • Attend weekly fitting and monitor the approval process to ensure approval deadline are met for photo samples and bulk production
  • Follow up on cost updates resulting from changes in fabric, fit, or quantities during the season
  • Work closely with the Oversee team for counter-sourcing and providing cost and timing target
  • Motivate, develop and orient staff members while supporting team building elements
  • Interface with support teams to ensure Production deadlines are met on a timely basis

Communication Skills

  • Correspond to all inter-department associates and agents/ direct vendors on product issues
  • Articulate deadlines to direct reports while constructively supports with timely feedback

Production Maintenance Skills

  • Initiate and maintain all cost sheets, negotiate costing at factory level, review cost breakdowns
  • Review Production reports to insure accuracy and integrity of product maintenance
  • Monitor all aspects of Production procedures are followed accordingly
  • Collect time and action information to ensure adherence to the Corporate Production Calendar

Operational Skills

  • Attend all fit sessions to ensure proper measurements are met and sample corrections are made with the Fit Process and timelines to maintain photo sample and bulk delivery
  • Maintain a Production Development Report (PDR) to include current style detail information

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 10+years experience within a production/product management capacity
  • Must have a strong background in a variety of fabrics. 
  • Experience in global sourcing, managing time and actions, and managing the product cycle from development to PO fulfillment
  • Experience in garment costing- creating targets, counter-costing, and negotiating with multiple vendors
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • English and some Spanish speaking preferred

  • Expertise in time and action calendars
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building experience.
  • Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook Express, Aims production software
