DTC Allocation Analyst

The DTC Allocation Analyst will report directly to the DTC Planning Manager. Primary responsibilities are managing inventory levels for ECOM and 3 retail stores, partnering with Planning and Merchandising to execute product strategies, and analyzing data to identify trends to guide decision making. In addition, the DTC Allocation Analyst will analyze size selling every buy cycle to ensure optimal size curves for all the DTC channels.  They must be highly organized, attentive to details, self-directed, and they must possess strong analytical skills as well as an innate sense of curiosity. Candidates should also possess strong computer skills, the ability to multitask, retail math experience, strong problem-solving capabilities, and highly developed professional communication skills.

  • Partner with Merchandising and Customer Service to manage on-order WIP logs; update open orders; track and communicate delivery status updates to cross-functional teams with recommended action plans
  • Manage size selling analysis to insure best allocation by location
  • Run weekly reports to share with the DTC team and cross-functional partners
  • Ad-hoc analysis identifying opportunities and risks; markdown recommendations; and future buy recommendations (e.g., buy quantities, assortment)
  • Manage inventory from initial allocation through entire life-cycle of merchandise, including replenishment and consolidation of goods to other stores or channels
  • Ensure inventory is balanced across DTC channels, considering sales volume, store type, seasonality, and capacity of each location (weekly)
  • Manage weekly/monthly forecasts to the DC/Store Ops teams to help with workflow planning

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ Allocation planning and analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Possess a clear understanding of retail financial measurements (sales, gross margin, inventory turn, weeks of supply, sell-through rate, etc.) and how to impact them
  • Strong time-management, prioritization and organizational skills essential to multi-tasking on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates ability to listen and communicate carefully across all levels within the organization, strong interpersonal communication
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Blue Cherry, Google Workspace, Qlikview preferred
  • Team-focused, professional, with an understanding and adherence to all corporate policies
