Assistant Designer

 ASSISTANT DESIGNER (TOPS & BOTTOMS)

Minimum Qualification:

• AA or BA degree in fashion design. 
• Entry-level or 1+ year industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and MS office.
• Detail oriented and highly motivated. 
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
• Ability to multi-task and adjust workload as a result of shifting priorities

Responsibilities:

• Assist design team in trend and market research for inspiration  
• Support design team for key meetings such as concept & line review 
• Ensure all meetings are prepared with appropriate line sheets and reference materials. 
• Generate, maintain, and update line sheets as needed
• Assist with fittings, take note of changes and incorporate updates across line sheets 
• Create and update sketch illustrations for artwork/ tech packs and re-coloration as needed.
• Assist in the sourcing and approval of fabric samples, lab dips, strike-off's and other development materials
• Responsible for organizing and maintaining seasonal color developments, samples and fabrics/trims.
• Provide additional support and communication between Senior Designer and sample department
• Perform additional duties and assignments as requested
