Apparel Designer & Product Developer

Malouf is looking for an experienced Apparel Designer/Product Developer to work in our recently acquired partner company.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Ability to work with all functions of designing various collections, or specific items in a collection on tight time frames
• Must be able to match design creations to defined target customers between various brands
• Must be aware of current trends, colors, fits, etc
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Opportunities may exist to assist with overseas suppliers, negotiate pricing, coordinate samples
• Participate in fittings to give design direction to Tech Team
• Experience with WFX software a plus
• Coordinate with marketing team as needed and willingness to participate in photoshoots, marketing calendar, web/social, when appropriate
• Must be willing and able to adjust design proposals based on data and feedback from sales results
• Must have atleast 5 years applicable fashion design experience.
• Pattern Making skills, sweater or denim experience is a huge BONUS
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time with attention to detail.
• Learn/retain product information quickly.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to travel.  Less than 10% expected.
