Head Buyer - Men's Fashion

Boyds Philadelphia is an iconic, luxury fashion destination. Family-owned for four generations, Boyds features Women’s and Men’s designer collections and accessories from the world’s finest brands.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the success of the category through developing and driving seasonal business strategies
• Assist in the development and execution of product strategy
• Ensure appropriate flow of inventory into department
• Maintain a full understanding of local market needs
• Participate in ongoing competitive shopping across the marketplace
• Leverage client feedback to build seasonal product assortments
• Identify and communicate vendor and product opportunities
• Attend market vendor appointments
• Build strong partnerships with key cross-functional partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion or related discipline
• 2-4 years of retail buying experience in similar categories
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) 
• Possess full understanding of retail business metrics
• Advanced knowledge of menswear trends
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to travel
