WASH HOUSE PROCESS DIRECTOR

 

Position Summary:

Work with wash houses to follow established wash standards for bulk production. Works closely with laundries to adjust and/or re-develop washes and standards if necessary in bulk. Responsible for production time lines and delivery.  Establish control-related standards and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

  1. Hold the highest standards through operational delivery, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.
  2. Manage internal stakeholders by coordinating across internal teams to ensure process delivery.
  3. Surety of color matching by standardization of dyeing process by development of verified & tested SOP's of each process.
  4. Development of standard color recipes, process flow sheets & its programming in microprocessor of each machine.
  5. Work closely with laundries on execution of bulk washes according to standards and company quality requirements
  6. Work closely with counterparts in the production team to maintain delivery dates and schedules
  7. Problem shooting and solving in the laundry bulk production process (treatments, fabric issues, quality problems)
  8. Negotiate and establish wash prices for each style offered.
  9. Expedite the processing of new samples and fit samples in all wash treatments for wash and performance testing to assure each procedure is production friendly.
  10. Create additional sets of wash standards based on bulk fabrications where necessary

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

 

 

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7-10+

 

Educational/Position Requirements:

 

  • AA in Design, Product Development or Merchandising preferred
  • Minimum seven years of contemporary denim industry experience in a similar or same position.

 

 

 

Skills:

 

  • MS Office skills
  • Extensive knowledge of laundries practices and processes as well as chemicals, treatments, wet and dry processes and their effect on different fabrications.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be willing to travel to off-site meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Competitive market industry knowledge
  • Ability to realize Designers interpretations
  • Trend analysis/competitive market analysis ability.

 

 

 

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

 

  • Extensive international and domestic travel required (visit local contractors as well as frequent travel outside the country)
