VP SALES – COLLECTION

General Overview:

 

This position serves as the leader of the Domestic Wholesale business.  Its focus is to maintain and develop domestic partnerships which uphold the brand integrity while helping the company to continue to expand as a strong global lifestyle brand. Manages Sales team, partners with Design team, VP Merchandising, VP Planning, SVP Production. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute sales and merchandising strategies for each account
  • Identify and maximize new business opportunities
  • Partner with design and merchandising to ensure specific product opportunities are identified and developed
  • Develop strategic growth initiatives through partnerships (products and sales strategies).
  • Train, grow, and develop a strong Sales team to ensure partners are properly serviced as well as all compliance details are followed.
  • Oversee distribution of all product.  Approve all customer profiles to ensure distribution channels are in line with corporate standards.
  • Partner with Visual and Field teams for build out of all in-shops. Approve all locations. Ensure all stores are run properly and follow all merchandising guidelines.
  • Manage Department Expense Budget as well as partner with VP Planning in forecasting sales, markdown and margin projections by account.
  • Review and develop business plans with all partners
  • Manage proper inventory levels; review pre Market Hindsight
  • Plan and develop product opportunities , reorders
  • Manage ATS, Oversold
  • Establish a proactive management style, empowering direct reports and working closely with them to prevent and/or resolve problems
  • Contribute to overall development of brand and growth of the Company
  • Present Best Seller/ Worst Seller in meetings with Design, Sales  and Merchandising

 

Success Measures: (measurable goals and objectives) 

 

  • Meet annual sales projections for each account
  • Manage proper inventory levels, dilution budget
  • Management of expense budgets
  • Business Development

 

Required Experience and Qualifications: (degrees, specific functional skills, professional experience, knowledge, proven accomplishments etc.)

 

  • Min. 10 yrs. Wholesale Sales Experience to department stores in modern sector (Retailer relationship GMM, DMM to Buyer level)
  • Strong hands-on sales background and sales management
