VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER

 

Visual Merchandising Manager is the right hand person to the Creative Director and Store Design. This individual is the key person that supports product sales and profit goals by developing and implementing visual merchandising plans that effectively generate traffic / interest and sales for all stores.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Visual team and Coordinators to execute directives, be part of store openings, follow up, etc.
  • Sets visual merchandising standards for all stores based on the visuals and merchandising created for newer flagship stores.  Translate all aspect of work done in-store into a directive that will be distributed to all retail locations nationally.  This exercise also encompasses international stores, wholesale and outlet environment.
  • Work alongside with SVP to create annual VM guide for all divisions
  • Create bi-weekly window fashion change for all retail stores and special events / promotions.  This also encompasses store set up for VIP
  • Opening of new stores Retail/Wholesale /Outlet /International
  • Achieves visual merchandising operational objectives by working with design and retail teams to coordinate merchandising plans, action plans, sale strategies and small fixture rollouts.
  • Improves display results by evaluating and redesigning floor plans, flow strategies, and display techniques, studying, evaluating, and re-designing display procedures; implementing changes.
    Prepares merchandise display reports by evaluating and summarizing product data and trends.
    Updates job knowledge by visiting competitors' displays; attending educational workshops and trade shows; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

 

Success Measures:

  • Help maintain and oversee budget process for visual merchandising process to get approved by SVP.
  • Have the innate ability to keep up with current trend and translate /interpret into each collection worked on.
  • Consistently increase sales by generating traffic and interest of brand with creative approach in merchandising  (ie  ability to make old delivery look new )
  • Meeting deadline

 

Targeted Competencies : (strategic agility, entrepreneur spirit, creatively, integrity, communication skills, initiative, time management, etc.)

  • Preferably a Graduate in related or creative field.
  • Min. 7 years’ experience in visual merchandising management, luxury fashion and accessories.
  • Able to communicate at all levels with good writing skills
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Able to multitask
  • Basic computer skills ( i.e. : Word, Photoshop, excel )
  • Strong taste level
  • Ability to travel 25-40% of the time.
