Visual Merchandising Coordinator
The role of the Visual Merchandising Coordinator is to:
Coordinate all merchandising programs within assigned area of responsibility. Work with the Visual Manager and merchant team members to gain understanding of the programs. Write monthly directives and compile illustrative documents that give a detail outline of each program inclusive of signs and fixtures. Publish and manage documents in work flow system to be read by store team for execution.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with merchant teams to understand the intent, assortment, and delivery schedule of each merchandise program.
- Merchandise each program in-lab, or in-local store, or on the computer.
- Implement key initiatives for storytelling, outfitting, fashion and color direction, mannequin and floor fixture placement, and wall impact.
- Collaborate with visual partners to gain understanding of all signs, fixtures, and props that support each program.
- Present each program to visual leadership for review, gain feedback, and adjust as needed.
- Draw and manage floor plans/planograms for each area of responsibility in collaboration with merchants.
- Photograph, illustrate, and write each approved merchandise set and prepare Merchandise Directives for publication to the field on a monthly/quarterly schedule.
- Assist in Seasonal Prototype Store Sets for each area of responsibility.
- Coordinate task management and work flow schedules and with Store Com.
- Manage teams during in-store Floor Sets process as needed.
- Gain feedback on Merchandise Directives and update as needed.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
- Specific Degree: Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or Art Related Field
- Specific Training: In Store Visual Merchandising
- 5 or more years of in-store or Corporate Visual Merchandising Experience
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
- Specific Degree: BS Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or Art Related Field
- Specific Training: In Store Visual Merchandising and or Corporate Visual Experience
- 5 or more years of in-store Visual Merchandising and or Corporate Visual Experience

- High level skill and talent to merchandise products and displays in a retail store environment.
- High level Written and Oral Communication Skills
- High level Interpersonal Skills
- Time Management
- Computer Skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of CAD, Photoshop, InDesign
- Ability to work in multiple file formats, PC & MAC
Physical:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
