Visual Merchandising Assistant

 

The role of the Visual Merchandise Assistant is to:

 

Assist the Visual Merchandise Manager in developing visual merchandising concepts.  Physically set those concepts in a local lab store.  Photograph the lab store sets.   Prepare communication documents that include photographs, floor plans and sign/fixture guides.  Publish documents in task manager system for stores to read and execute.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the coordination, development, and lab store execution of visual merchandising concepts.
  • Assist in creating and communicating monthly merchandise direction per area of business to stores.
  • Assist in writing Visual Directives in workflow within a given timeline and communicate to stores.
  • Timely follow up and execution of agreed to projects and strategies
  • Assist in managing the planogram process for FOB.  Work with Visual Manager to ensure accuracy of planograms.  Publish to the workbench on set timeline

Work with merchant teams to fully undertand details of each merchandising program.Requirements/Qualifications:

Position Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Specific Degree:  Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or Art Related Field
  • Specific Training:  In Store Visual Merchandising
  • 2 or more years of in-store Visual Merchandising Experience

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Specific Degree:  BS Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design or Art Related Field
  • Specific Training:  In Store Visual Merchandising and or Corporate Visual Experience
  • 2 or more years of in-store Visual Merchandising and or Corporate Visual Experience

 

Competencies:


  • High level skill and talent to merchandise products and displays in a retail store environment.

  • High Level Written and Oral Communication Skills

  • High Level Interpersonal Skills

  • Time Management

  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of CAD, Photoshop, InDesign

Ability to work in multiple file formats, PC & MAC

 

 

 

Physical:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
