Visual Communications Coordinator

The Visual Communications Coordinator is responsible for driving the business through the creation of all floorset tools and procurement of in-shop collateral. The Visual Communications Coordinator partners with Directors of Stores, District Managers and Shop Managers to ensure brand consistency for all Wholesale Accessories, Footwear, RTW & Men’s Michael Kors Shop-in-Shop/Table Drop and Non-Shop locations within their region, through effective use of all visual tools and training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Visual Creation

  • Carry out the graphic design and document creation of all corporate visual floorsets, directives, and addendums
  • Oversee the creation and manipulation of all department graphics and rendering needs
  • Manage all visual-related protocols, processes and schedules, ensuring all projects are puntually fulfilled
  • Create and contribute elevated and impactful presentations to seasonal showroom set-ups
  • Assists the Sr. Manager, Visual Communication with market research; is always knowledgeable on current market trends

Communication

  • Assist the Sr. Manager, Visual Communication with communicating all visual initiatives
  • Facilitate all communication to field team in regards to VM Guidelines, and in-shop collateral
  • Liaise with all licensees/vendors as it relates to in-store props, fixtures and in-shop graphics
  • Effectivly communicate with the field teams on visual opportunities and strategies to further elevate presentation and drive their business
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional deparments such as Sales, Merchandising, Creative Services and Marketing to ensure constant allignment on all merchandising strategies and brand messaging
  • Foster strong partnerships with Retail Partner VM contacts

Operations

  • Manage all VM communication and ordering/distribution for all in-shop props, videos, and graphics
  • Maintain and updates the corporate visual database and photo library  
  • Assist with all seasonal showroom set-ups and flagship store floorsets
  • Maintain and updates the corporate visual calendar, contact lists, and all store information spreadsheets
  • Act as department photographer, documenting all showroom set-ups and store floorsets
  • Manages the visual studio, ensuring that workspaces and common areas are being maintained according to company policy and are aligned with the MICHAEL KORS brand image

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of visual merchandising and graphic design experience
  • Strong proficiency in the following computer programs: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) & Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Deadline-oriented and possess excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to communicate with associates at various levels
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize and work independantly
  • Strong knowledge of current fashion and retail trends
  • Basic photography skills
