The Vice President of Sales and Merchandising has the overall responsibility of guiding the development of focused and profitable product lines for the company’s wholesale brands and creating and executing sales strategies consistent with the company’s objectives in the off price marketplace. This includes managing the design process for each season within the constraints of the company’s production calendar and design budgets. Special emphasis is placed on the formulation of a clear and consistent strategic direction for the wholesale brands and maintaining business development efforts that can fulfill the expectations and needs of the targeted marketplace.
