General purpose of the position:
The Vice President Stores is responsible for the successful achievements of the outlet retail business in North America and Canada. In addition, developing and overseeing key initiatives and divisional goals which include demonstrating a mastery of our brand & business model and the effective management of both direct and dotted line responsibility for functional areas & people. Inherent in this assignment is responsibility for meeting the articulated strategic goals of Kate Spade & Company.

 Drive the day-to-day business with an intrapreneural approach to leading, initiating and managing activities both at the corporate and store level to ensure the execution of the kate spade new york brand vision and achieving business goals
 Lead and propel stores to focus on providing a unique and brand differentiating guest experience through engagement, communication.
 Develop and execute a strategic plan that achieves Kate Spade & Co.’s target goals to increase sales and profit. This strategic plan should identify opportunities, threats and tactics.
 Anticipate and identify competitors and retail changes which may impact business and in turn implement change as necessary
 Control, monitor and manage the fleet's P&L/financials to meet overall sales/profit goals and expense targets
 Responsible for the fleets Area Support Centers overseeing efficiency and compliance of its operations
 Set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization
 Develop and build an effective field and corporate leadership team that executes and drives business priorities through motivation, focus and organization
 Ensure that in-store associates are empowered with the knowledge, tools, skills, company standards, motivation, and encouragement to deliver on both the Kate Spade brand promise and the company’s performance targets
 Building cross functional partnerships and foster collaboration with corporate partners
 Participate in and support, internally and externally, corporate policies, programs and initiatives
 Innovation management: identify and effectively share a vision that identifies new business opportunities and the evolution of the product, retail strategy, and brand position
 Create an environment of creativity and self-improvement for yourself and your associates

Qualifications:

Skills and abilities required:
 Bachelors in Business Administration preferred.
 Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a luxury retail environment. Strong retail management experience with multi-site oversight.
 Strong US and Canada off price market experience
 Achieve Business measurements; traffic, conversion, units per transaction; sales vs, plan, gross margin, etc.
 Develop growth strategy through product assortment, current and new store growth, sales initiatives, etc.
 Strong collaboration and communication skills at all levels in the organization
 Execution of new store openings; manage new store rollout; oversee budgeting
 Travel required
