Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Oversee Directors and Regional Managers to work with store staff on product education, impacting each individual’s ability to grow sales through brand awareness.
-Identity and implement growth opportunities for vertical retail decision
-Identify and respond to client, market and competitive trends by leading the implementation of various projects and partnering with the sales and marketing teams.
-Facilitate store-based sales program, designed to provide a consistent and unique level of brand specific sales and service
-Establish in-store operational and clientelling standards for Elie Tahari, Ltd.
-Create effective business and compensation management model resulting in reduced operating expenses, while remaining competitive in the designer market.
-Create store merchandising direction along with the necessary product capacities to achieve sales budgets.
-Effect inventory management to increase product turn, resulting in increased margin results.
-Contribute to seasonal buy and assortment planning. Manage pricing and promotional strategy.
-Lead opening operations of stores to impact sales and brand environment.
-Initiate coordination of store line/design/merchandising planning sessions to both identify business opportunities as well as coordinate product flow to maximize sales.
-Spearhead initiatives to assure attainment of sales and profit goals.
-Oversee directors and regional reports with store personnel recruitment, hiring and training.
-Develop and monitor budgets and store-line P& L reports to monitor individual and nationwide store performance.
-Create a proficient store organization with a strong brand identity and sound business practices.
-Create staffing structure with trained field management and staff effectively driving sales, while reducing operating expenses.
-Develop a strong sales focused management team, able to ignite business projects to drive sales
-Initiate coordination of store line/design/merchandising planning sessions to both identify business opportunities as well as coordinate product flow to maximize sales
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree
-10-15 years management experience in a multi-unit retail merchandise business (multi store experience required)
-Strong ability to recognize future business opportunities/trends and create as well as implement strategy to gain positive results on both a macro and micro level
-Strong knowledge of luxury goods and understanding of luxury/high end contemporary retail operations
-High taste level and sophistication
-Accomplished, customer focused executive who has the intellect, taste level, energy and drive to partner with a motivated management team in a highly competitive environment.
-Strong operational, analytical, tactical and people management skills with the ability to oversee director level reports
-Capacity to thrive in a fast paced environment
