Vice President, International Licensing - Tommy Hilfiger

The VP, International Licensing is responsible to identify, evaluate, strategize and negotiate new opportunities to build the business in Latin America as well as to drive the implementation of corporately aligned business strategies and initiatives in partnership with the Latin American Licensees.   This person will be responsible for bringing an analytical and strategic approach to the International business and team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Licensee to drive and direct corporate initiatives ensuring global brand alignment
  • Achieve mutual goals and objectives to drive sales with a cohesive brand presentation
  • Travel regularly to key markets to maintain a solid understanding of retail landscape and meet with licensees and franchisees to get feedback and identify areas of improvement/opportunity
  • Strategically evaluate business including sales plans, retail sales, market trends, and clearly communicate necessary changes to product, marketing and business plans
  • Identify and drive growth opportunities in collaboration with Licensees
  • Direct team to manage communication, merchandising and marketing processes, and contract compliance between Licensee and TH 
  • Spearhead negotiation of contract amendments and renewals
  • Partner with in-house counsel on all legal agreements and ensure contract compliance
  • Manage and develop team to take on new responsibilities and increase contribution to the licensing partnerships
  • Empower and motivate team to participate in achieving mutual goals and objectives
  • Collaborate effectively across the organization and garner support from internal teams to support business and product needs
  • Provide support to internal initiatives i.e. visual, advertising, store design to ensure execution by the licensee meets expectations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10+ years international licensing experience in the fashion industry
  • Fluency in Spanish language preferred
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Power point
  • The successful candidate must have relevant progressive international experience and has helped set the tone for a brand image, via licensing, for a global brand. Must possess a proven track record establishing and implementing international strategies for apparel and accessories
  • Command of retail math and analyzing selling reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful in partnering with other departments and divisions (Marketing, Advertising, Design) within the Tommy Hilfiger company, including liaising with global teams
  • Experience with building global brands
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Quick decision making in on the ground and executive management capacity, as well as ability to discern proper strategies and necessary approvals
  •  A strong cultural fit with exceptional leadership skills; team player with a collaborative style
  • Experience managing teams
  • Position requires a high level of resourcefulness and creativity, necessary problem solving skills and ability to think and react appropriately in high stress, deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to travel internationally on a monthly basis
