Cost Accountant

Department: Retail Finance

Location: East Rutherford NJ

Summary:

This position will develop and apply cost accounting principles, to properly maintain detail inventory and cost of sales systems and reporting.  Responsibilities will include all reconciliations associated with purchase price and transfer variations. Position to report to Vice President and Retail Controller.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Document existing disbursement, cost actualization and purchase price variance transaction flows.
• Analyzes key inventory cost attributes
• Analyze production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing purchase order estimates to actual costs
• Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures
• Analyzes IMU by department and sub departments
• Support the Lower cost or market detail evaluations.
• Provide gross margin and open to buy reporting to identify factors affecting profitability by department and division.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• JD Edwards Account Software
• RLM
• Microsoft Word and Excel
• 5+ years of experience
• CPA certification a plus
