TITLE: SECURITY GUARD

REPORTS TO: Store Management

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• 1-2 years experience within a retail security department
• Effective at fostering strong business partnerships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High success rate in the detection and apprehension of shoplifters
• Bachelor`s degree recommended
• Must pass comprehensive background check

• An understanding of the Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market

• Assist in the loss prevention training and development of the store staff

• Actively participate in department and daily meetings

OPERATIONS:

• Partner with local store management to meet strategic loss prevention objectives
• Detect and apprehend shoplifters, processing and recovering Urban Outfitters merchandise
• Prepare case reports covering theft details
• Represent Company in court proceedings related to apprehensions
• Audit and ensure high execution of company security measures designed to control store and shrink
• Identify and report indications of internal theft
   

MERCHANDISING AND DISPLAY:

• Exhibit a familiarity with current product and trend awareness
