Buying Intern Responsibilities

• Attend important buying meetings regarding product selection, design, and style
• Support the daily operations within designated buying area and develop partnerships with the assistant or associate buyer on all necessary tasks
• Brainstorm and research new products and trends
• Managing the flow of merchandise
• Opportunities in Apparel and Accessories  -

Qualifications

• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and multitask
• Rudimentary understanding of retail math
• Detail oriented
• Creative thinker
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Retail experience preferred

(2) Spring 2018 Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF)

• Focus on 3 to 5 fashion trends that you see emerging for the Urban Outfitters customer and Brand for Spring 2018
• You may use visuals from blogs, Instagram, magazines, etc. to show your point of view but be sure to think like a Buyer and show us future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been.
• Be sure your point of view is clear by using multiple images to illustrate each of your ideas.
• This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it, there are no major guidelines!
