TECHNICAL DESIGNERS - Women's Fashion

Adecco Creative & Marketing is assisting a women’s fashion client in their search for Technical Designers!  These roles are located in northern NJ and are ongoing freelance (40 hours/week) with the potential to become permanent.  The Technical Designers are needed in the wovens category as well as knits and sweaters.

 

The Technical Designers are responsible for coordinating and monitoring the garment technical development process from design development to production. Responsibilities include analyzing and reviewing merchandise for fit, construction, and overall quality. These positions could include supervision, training and mentoring of a direct report.

 

The Technical Designers' responsibilities include:

 

- Conduct fit sessions, analyze fit and accurately communicate corrections of assigned product area.

- Manage and monitor all styles from order placement through production, including test reports, pre-production, and top of production samples to meet delivery deadlines.

- Monitor and maintain fit, construction, and workmanship standards for your product category and ensure consistency across all vendor and factory bases.

- Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams on fit development and pre-production activities.

- Responsible for tracking and reporting departmental workflow.

- Align with department and company brand standards.

- Communication to cross-functional team members regarding status on assigned product category.

 

The Technical Designers should have the following background & skills:

 

- Wovens background or experience in Pattern making ideal

- 5-7+ years in technical design, experience in womenswear

- Understanding of components of fit, and key processes in tech design

- Experience working with both internal and external partners

- Great team work attitude, passion for brand & energy
