Technical Designer:

• 8-10 years’ experience of experience as a Fit Technician and/or Technical Designer in Womenswear
• Must have technical experience with multiple product classifications
• Must possess a keen eye to identify fit issues and recommend solutions
• A clear understanding of patternmaking/grading and how fabrics/trims affect the fit of the garment
• Develop technical specifications including measurements, grading and construction details
• Understanding of manufacturing and product development process
• Work closely with Fashion Designers to understand the desired styling and fit intent of each silhouette
• Must  attend fit sessions and lead and organize fitting sessions in absence of Senior Manager Technical Designer
• Must be able to review all Shipment samples and decipher approval status and solutions to repair any goods that do not meet company expectations
• Strategic and solution driven with goals in mind
• Must be hardworking, detail oriented,  ability to multi task. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
• Strategic and solution driven with goals in mind
• Must be able to work directly with vendors overseas and domestic to review and discuss the product and any requested corrections.
• Must be proficient in Illustrator and know how to use Photoshop and Excel
