TECHNICAL DESIGNER

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well know brand with a global presence. You can be part of a dynamic team based in NYC. Well know premium brand for mens, womens and childrens apparel and accessories needs solid and experienced Technical Designers on a freelance basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and maintain fit, construction and brand standards for product category

• Create, update and utilize blocks and patterns

• Follow up on e-mails with overseas offices regarding comments on fit

• Attend fittings, development meetings and line reviews

• Adhere to time and action calendar

• Update tech packs, fit comments and pattern corrections

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess 5-7 years experience in Technical Design

• Understanding of patternmaking and garment fit

• Knowledge of garment construction

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Web PDM, PLM and Adobe Illustrator
