Technical Designer - DKNY Activewear

Overview:

G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear dresses, women's suits and sportswear with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others. 

Responsibilities:

• Generate technical construction packages for the factory.
• Conduct and manage fit sessions independently. This will involve preparing, and evaluating fit on model.
• Corresponding to overseas factories on fit comments, technical questions and fit tracking.
• Implement corrections with overseas partners, create and update tech packs.
• Create and standardize blocks and specs for vendor use to expedite the fit approval process.
• Work with design team on any specifications needed.

Qualifications:

• College degree in fashion design a must.
• 10 years’ experience or more in technical design, in cut & sew knits, woven bottoms, outerwear and compression.

• Good communicator with strong verbal and written ability.

• MS office, Excel and Illustrator a must.
