TECHNICAL DESIGNER ASSISTANT - Sweaters

SALARY: $40,000 AND UP

DESCRIPTION:

We are a multi-Brand cashmere company looking for a minimum 2 experience sweater technical designer working in our private label and banded men’s and women’s fine cashmere & cashmere blend knitwear collection.  Working under the umbrella of one of the largest suppliers of cashmere in the global market.  The New York office has a small team with opportunities to work in every facet of the knitwear fashion industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knowledge of garment Specing and Grading
• Attend/Assist in fittings
• Keen eye for upcoming color/silhouette trends
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel
• Ability to create tech packs/ fit comments
• Be able to track samples in and out of the office
• Knowledge of Sweater design/construction a must
• Must be able to create in depth, CAD presentations according to season/trend
• Must be well organized
• Must be able to work in fast paced environment and adapt quickly

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
• Must is able to multi task, prioritize, and function independently
• Two years knitwear design & production experience
