Supply Chain Coordinator

Specific Responsibilities :

Description:      

The Supply Chain Coordinator support role identifies components and co-packers/fillers for the Branded division of Lornamead. This person will assist in leading and eventually managing projects. They will also learn to develop and manage schedules, perform cost analysis, review vendor pricing, maintain ERP system, and issue Purchase Orders. This position is in the personal care industry and covers Consumer Packaged Goods (CPGs) brands: Finesse, Aqua Net, Yardley, LypSyl, and Lice Shield.

 

Duties Include:

  • Project support and eventually management
  • Identify and source credible component suppliers and co-packers/fillers through research
  • Create and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to suppliers
  • Quote review and comparison
  • Learning to schedule creation and management of products
  • Investigate and execute Cost Savings initiatives
  • Create, track, and file Purchase Orders
  • Review Purchase Orders from Buyer/Planners for pricing accuracy
  • Review and correct Invoice Variances for Accounting Department
  • Create new items/components and enter/maintain pricing in ERP system (QAD)
  • Develop working relationships with suppliers
  • Asses Suppliers to ensure best pricing and on time delivery
  • Obtain and file Product Specifications
  • Work closely with suppliers to implement product/component changes
  • Sample ordering
  • Miscellaneous filing and clerical duties as necessary
  • Assisting Buyer/Planner as needed

Skills and Requirements:

Education / Experience:

  • BS Degree and/or 2-5 years sourcing or packaging experience (CPG environment desirable)

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and statistical problem solving skills
  • Vendor/supplier management
  • ERP/MRP systems experience desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team with multiple departments
  • Able to work in an open office environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing process
