Supply Chain Assistant

Specific Responsibilities :

The Supply Chain Analyst coordinates and monitors businesses processes for Tonawanda division of Lornamead. This person will lead projects, develop and manage schedules, perform cost analysis, review vendor pricing, maintain ERP system, and issue Purchase Orders. This position is in the personal care industry and is inclusive of the supply chain from ideation, implementation, and delivery to final consumer.  

Duties Include:

  • Project support
  • Inventory analysis
  • Identifying potential component suppliers
  • Create and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to suppliers
  • Quote review and comparison
  • Create, track, and file Purchase Orders
  • Review Purchase Orders from Buyer/Planners for pricing accuracy
  • Review and correct Invoice Variances for Accounting Department
  • Create new items/components and enter/maintain pricing in ERP system (QAD)
  • Develop working relationships with suppliers
  • Asses Suppliers to ensure best pricing and on time delivery
  • Obtain and file Product Specifications
  • Assisting Buyer/Planner as needed

Skills and Requirements:

Education / Experience:

  • BS Degree and/ Supply Chain, Planning experience desired  

 

Skills:

  • Project support with a view to project management
  • Basic understanding of logistics
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and statistical problem solving skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Vendor/supplier assessment
  • ERP/MRP system experience desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team with multiple departments
  • Able to work in an open office environment
  • Business Ethics
  • Understanding of manufacturing process desirable
