STRATEGIC SALES EXECUTIVE - Contemporary Apparel

STRATEGIC SALES EXECUTIVE

The Strategic Sales Executive will partner on growth and expansion through execution of strategies set forth by the National Sales Director in order to maximize sales and profitability.  This role is responsible to cultivate and maintain optimal relationships with new and existing high-profile retailers – Domestic and International and support and promote the business with internal and external teams to maintain and improve the brand position in the Contemporary market.  Ideal candidate will have existing relationships with target accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(but not limited to):

Strategy & Innovation:

  • Cultivate new accounts and seek opportunities to expand business with existing accounts
  • Understanding, appreciation, and knowledge of the brand and long term vision
  • Partner with customers to communicate and execute brand positioning and key strategic initiatives for brand, where appropriate; propose and negotiate for optimal placement in stores/online
  • Business monitoring - review and analyze weekly bookings and shipping; devise strategies to maximize all accounts through weekly orders/reorders; partner with Customer Service to ensure proper credit, shipping, and payment for each customer
  • Regular travel required - Road and store visits monthly and attend trade shows outside of assigned territory as necessary to support all channels of business large and small
  • Research and perform competitive analysis; monitor relevant trends and communicate to internal partners, where appropriate

Customers & Relationships:

  • Cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Manage communications and feedback between customers and internal partners in Sales and Customer Service
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic
  • Proven history of building relationships and existing relationships with key accounts in assigned territory

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 

  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented and outgoing
  • Strong Sales skills - Interim, road, trade show and showroom settings
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
  • Strong analytical skills and fluent in retail math
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years’ experience in sales for Contemporary Apparel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
