Store Planner

About the Position
The Store Planner is responsible for the development and monitoring of New and Remodeled store plans that determine the store’s store set assortment strategy, inventory levels, attributes, and allocation strategy. The Store Planner collaborates with a wide variety of cross functional partners at various levels to ensure the store opens successfully and continues to monitor the store for a year. Additional responsibilities include closing stores and Marketing driven initiatives support along with projects (bounceback cards, LOFT cares cards, BRFC, St. Judes).
Responsibilities
• Develop opening store inventory plans that support their financial plan/Proforma • Provide assortment guidance based on store opening date and adjust for any shifts in store set calendar or opening date• Provide by-store, by-department, sales and inventory guidance to Allocation team • Monitor in-season business monthly based on trend • Provide by-store, by-department, sales and inventory deviations to influence depth allocation• Establish a strong partnerships with multiple cross functional partners including RVP’s, District Mangers, DC, Marketing, Store Operations, Finance, Real Estate, Visual and Allocation• Touch-base regularly and participate on conference calls (as needed) • Partner with DM/RVP to gain insight on new/remodeled stores• Publish daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in an accurate and timely manner to Sr Leadership • Provide all analysis, recapping, reporting, and projecting related to new and remodeled stores (Pre-opening plans, post-opening projections and hindsighting)• Support cross functional partners with store and ad hoc reporting• Manage the store closing process• Project sales and inventory levels prior to closing, direct closing liquidation cadence, conduct weekly calls, and work with cross functional partners.• Oversee closing stores process associated with relocations• Additional responsibilities:• Create Marketing quantity and distros for savings cards and bouncebacks etc• Marketing Event recaps (style event, Friends & Family etc)
Requirements
• Bachelors degree required and 1-3 years of Allocation/Store Planning experience.• Ability to make quality decisions and to defend strategy with relevant data.• Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with business partners in both the home office and field.• Demonstrate strong communication skills; communicate effectively using multiple methods and across diverse audiences. Comfortable presenting in meetings or over the phone.• Organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.• Aptitude to learn technical applications quickly. Desire to innovate tools and processes. • Proficient in Excel• Proficient in gathering, recapping and analyzing data in warehouse systems (SAP & Qlikview)
