The Field Communications Coordinator, Ann Taylor & Factory, supports the Client Experience & Communications team with Store and Field communications by coordinating and organizing efforts for respective projects; crafting and proofreading communications for various communication channels and audiences; and generating reports and recaps to stay on schedule.
The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Manager and Assistant Manager of Field Communications to support Store and Field communication strategies that are aligned with the evolution of our full priced brands and channels.
This individual in this role will work closely with cross-functional partners including Visual, Marketing, Planning and Operations as it relates to information shared through our Intranet site.
Primary accountabilities and desired outcome for this role:
•Clearly communicate promotional activity, visual execution and workload balanced with cascading seasonal and monthly strategies for field/store leaders and associates.
•Coordinate workflow of production of communications, tools within the team.
•Partnering with the Field Communications Assistant Manager, serve as “assistant editor-in-chief” of intranet platform for departmental pages, homepage, and discussions. Responsible for Intranet site administration, content organization and communication planning.
•Manage to establish governance and brand standards for field communication and store/associate experience strategies.
•Support seasonal and brand communications including writing content, designing communications and routing for feedback/approvals.
•Attend weekly business meetings and partner with the Ann Taylor & Factory PLC to develop communications and cadence of business strategy and supporting documents for in-store execution.
•Project coordination of assets, copy and reviews for store tools such as Seasonal Overview/Index and Merchandise Management.
•Serve as workflow advisor as a holistic view for Ann Taylor & Factory PLC and other cross-functional partners to advise on store workload and proactively mapping to communication plans.
•Assist with cross-functional efforts that support the creation of communications for in store programs, promotions and visual direction for the field/stores.
•Correspond with stores via issues management system, general email boxes, and internal communication channels. Support follow up with stores and Workforce Management Team with store event requests.
•Coordinate store mailpack schedule & logistics with functional partners.
•Support Field Communications and Client Experience Team during the ideation and planning stages for developing seasonal editorial stories to drive engagement and encourage two way communication.
•Proactively coordinate prep needs for meetings or status as requested including, presentation boards, agendas, scheduling, etc.
•Provide logistical and project management & event support for both Field and Corporate Associates -- including project plans, status recaps, agendas, show flows, etc.
•Create POs and update Workflow entries.
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Business Management, Marketing
•Eagerness to learn about retail/fashion, client service & experience; with a focus on retail/business communications
•Highly effective communicator (verbal and written); 2-3 years of writing experience
•2-3 years of project management experience
•Passion for writing for various audiences (internal, external) using various vehicles (print, online)
•Proficient on PC & MAC Operating Systems
•Organized & works well in a fast-paced environment (management of deadlines for multiple projects, exhibits a sense of urgency, proactive, resourceful, can-do attitude)
•Collaborative and works well in a team environment, but can work independently
•Retail store background is a plus, but not required
