Sr. Systems Analyst - Workday

Position Summary:

The Senior Systems Analyst provides technical expertise related to various application teams. Works with Business Analysts to define technical requirements for new development and any support related changes. Designs and develops customizations, conversions, and interfaces as necessary. Creates diagrams and flows to represent system design as dictated by the architect. Develops implementation strategy. Provides warranty period production support for applications in area of responsibility.                                                                        

·        Clarifies technical requirements and influences decisions that lead to the right solutions.

·        Provides estimates for work effort required.

·        Designs new, and modifies existing, customizations, conversions, and interfaces as necessary. 

·    Accountable and creates all technical deliverables including technical design specifications, diagrams, flows, and documentation of all configuration changes

·        Manages the source control repository for assigned applications.

·        Works with QE teams to provide testing frameworks as needed.

·        Develops detailed system implementation plan.

·        Develops prototypes and solutions.

·        Works with Security and Operations team to ensure solution compliance.

·        Develops new, and modifies existing, customizations, conversions and interfaces as necessary. 

·        Works with internal and external vendor teams on all support/enhancement/project related activities.

·        Designs and develops support fixes, small enhancements and coding for major projects.

·        Develops components and creates packages to be promoted to production environment by Support/Ops teams.

·        Provides testing support for defect fixes.

·        Provides warranty period, and often post-warranty, production support for applications in area of responsibility.

·        Assists the Project Manager in identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies.

·        Develops or contributes to project deliverables, such as design documents. 

·    Accountable and creates all technical deliverables including technical design specifications, diagrams, flows, and documentation of all configuration changes.

·        Complies with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for assigned projects and tasks. 

·      Supports the Project Manager in post-implementation reviews and incorporating lessons learned into future work and standards.

·        Develops new, and modifies existing, customizations, conversions and interfaces as necessary. 

·        Provides input into design and architecture reviews.

Requirements/Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred.

·        Experience with the following technologies: Workday Studio, Workday Core Connectors and Doc Tran, Workday Advanced XML, Workday custom fields configuration and Administration, Workday integrations EIB/DTS, Workday Report Writer, Workday calculated fields, Experience with SOAP, JavaScript, XSLT, PHP, Eclipse and Web Services, Experience with HR data conversion., Advanced Oracle SQL, Operating System level scripting tools like Shell scripts

·        5-8 years of experience

·        Experience as Software Engineer/Developer or other similar technology position in retail or related domain.

·        Experience analyzing complex system issues, contributing to estimates and making recommendations.

·        Experience with 3rd party software implementations, consultants/contractors and working with off shore providers
