POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Production Assistant is responsible for issuing garment purchases for Seasonal Buys in accordance with customer demand.  He or she will monitor production from order placement through receipt of shipments in warehouse. He or she will also identify demand and execute garment purchases in a timely manner from projections and orders. He or she will be responsible for finished goods tracking and reporting and must have the ability to identify issues and review potential solutions with manager.  He or she should understand and maintain production and inventory requirements for the Calvin Klein Sport and Jeans businesses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Works closely with others to execute seasonal buy plans and confirm factory deliveries required to meet required customer deliveries.
  • Issues Assortment Advice (finished goods commitments)
  • Creates stylemasters in ACS.
  • Elevate production issues to manager, work for resolution and execute the determined course of action.  Must have ability to take action promptly
  • Effective and clear daily communication via e-mail with the overseas offices, including overseas “3R” Production team
  • Prepare and analyze weekly delivery reports to identify any issues as it relates to factory delays and/or potential customer delivery delays.
  • Maintain communications with all parties directly affected by purchasing and receiving of goods- Sales, Buyers, Merchandising, Customer Service, Traffic, Cost accounting and Warehouses with regard to inventories vs. production plan vs. actual deliveries.
  • Prepare inventory intake file for monthly budgets.
  • Weekly and seasonal reporting
  • Special projects, as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:               

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of ACS, 7th Online, Web PDM, Assortment Advice, XPC, Island Pacific

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
