SR. FABRIC COORDINATOR

ITOCHU Prominent USA designs and manufactures LeSportsac; Perry Ellis; Vince Camuto; men’s and women’s fabrics and finished garments for distribution to wholesalers and retailers. In addition, ITOCHU Prominent USA works with ITOCHU Japan to develop Japanese licensing and distribution programs for American and European fashion brands.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Fabric Coordinator to join our Men’s division. This position is responsible for executing fabric bulk purchase order for on time delivery while meeting the brand's aesthetic and costing requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS include the following:

Book and issue fabric production orders; aware of cost target and delivery dead line.

• Arrange and track fabric shipments including shipping documents and clearance issues to ensure goods are delivered to garment factory to meet in house deadlines.
• Prepares costing and negotiates bulk fabric prices with fabric suppliers.
• •       Oversees fabric development, following up with suppliers to ensure the fabric is approved on time based on our Time and Action calendar. 
• Interface with Administration dept. on shipping entries, sample billings, bulk billing and letter of credits to ensure no interruption to flow of fabric orders.
• Develops relationships with customers and all vendors
• Corresponds with customers on all fabric order details and works with their logistics team to arrange shipments. 
• Identify and proactively resolve fabric issues such as costs, minimums and lead-time with internal and external partners.
• Coordinates with customer and suppliers to resolve claim/charge back in time.
• Assign tasks, objectives and the like to direct reports, and through coaching, performance evaluation, and feedback, assist those direct reports in performing their duties and achieving their objectives.
• Other projects/duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a textile or related field required.
• 5+years of experience in fabric development and/or production.
• Fabric knowledge.
• Excellent Communication and organization skills required.
• Must have ability to adapt to changing priorities, prioritize workload and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Office; with emphasis on advanced level in Excel
