POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position will be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing the PVH Heritage Brands ecommerce website. Create an engaging customer experience and drive up conversion by using cutting edge web technologies.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • This person will be responsible for the full system development life cycle for each modification, including analysis, design, documentation, development and testing.
  • This applicant will need to work with the business merchant and marketing teams to define and document requirements.  He/she will need to analyze and document how to accomplish the modification.  He/she will make the agreed upon changes utilizing all existing standards for development.
  • This applicant will be responsible for thoroughly testing all changes across supported browsers and devices.
  • The Senior Developer will learn and integrate new web technologies to keep the site appealing to customers and representative of the brand’s vision.
  • The Senior Developer will quickly analyze system problems and make suggestions as to how to correct the situation.  Considerations need to be made for both short term as well as long term solutions.
  • The Senior Developer will support creative changes on the website during campaigns, holiday or brand’s global events throughout the course of the year.
  • The candidate will work closely with other IT counterparts in eCommerce and other departments to brainstorm and implement the brand’s vision on marketing and eCommerce activities.
  • Candidate will support quick publish, caching and purge schemes to manage and maintain the website elements and pages.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

Experience: 

  • 4+ years of experience with website design and development.
  • Strong understanding of UI design, cross-browser compatibility, general web standards.
  • Experience with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.
  • Hands-on experience working on Ecommerce web sites.

        

Education: College graduate preferred.

           

Skills:  JavaScript, JQuery, Dojo, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's, Mobile SDKs.
