Specialist, Site Content & Co-Op - 2-3 Years Experience

Job Description

Under direction from the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist plans & manages the Saks.com content roadmap and digital marketing co-op programs across assigned categories.  This position works cross-functionally with many teams across the organization such as category management, buying, creative, Integrated Marketing, acquisition marketing as well as external vendors.  The successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills—both verbally and written.

 

  • Site Content: Partner with Digital Marketing Manager & Category Management team on all aspects of site content, from inception to execution. This includes creating the content roadmap framework, working with category managers to develop stories and placements, creating creative briefs & continued updates, reviewing creative assets and reporting.
    • Leverage editorial and site real estate reports to determine success of all content, and make changes & recommendations based on that analysis.
    • Work with cross-functional marketing teams to drive category performance.
    • Contribute to Saks Fifth Avenue all channel marketing strategies for key initiatives alongside integrated marketing team.
    • Bring digital innovation to saks.com events and overall website.
    • Partner with Coordinator in updating and distributing all Saks.com content reporting and analysis.

 

  • Digital Co-op/ Vendor Relationships: Pitch, plan and execute all aspects of digital co-op in partnership with Integrated Marketing for assigned categories.
    • Develop innovative, tailored co-op proposals based on vendor needs and past performance analysis.
    • Manage vendor campaign budgets, changes, cross-functional communication and performance recaps.
    • Work with the Integrated Marketing team to create omni-channel marketing presentations for vendor meetings and key brand initiatives.
    • Bring innovation to digital co-op vendor opportunities and tactics, staying ahead of industry best practices & competitors. Can include internal enhancements and external vendor contracting on as needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing.
  • 2-3 years digital marketing, retail or agency experience a must.
  • Strong Analytical skills (understand key metrics and develop action plans using that data).
  • Very strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Careful attention to detail without sacrificing deadlines. The right candidate will be able to juggle several, sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong, working relationships across teams.
  • Resourceful, proactive, takes initiative.
  • Offer solutions to issues.
  • Must be able to see the big picture, but also get involved in the details.
  • Excellent computer application skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  Strong skills within Excel a MUST.
  • Proficient in Omniture, nice to have.
  • Familiarity with basic acquisition channel tactics (display media, paid search/SEO, affiliates), nice to have.
