SLIPPER DESIGNER

Our client, a large accessories company located in midtown, is seeking a Slipper Designer to join their growing team.

Position Overview: The Slipper Designer will oversee developing a line of private label and branded slippers for men, women, and kids. This Slipper Designer will be working heavily in Photoshop and Illustrator. They will also be creating prints in Illustrator as well.

Responsibilities:

• The Slipper Designer will communicate with China consistently through development process regarding materials, fit, and styling
• Work in Photoshop/Illustrator to create color CADs of styles for selling purposes
• Must have a strong knowledge of trends and line-building 
• Will oversee organizing samples and setting up for product review meetings
• Maintain communication with design and production departments
• Create trend/mood boards for each season/brand
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to handle a large workload, stay organized, and multi-task

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of slipper design experience
• Highly proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator
• Print Design in Illustrator
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
