POSITION SUMMARY:
The Showroom Coordinator will act as point person for sample requests, showroom set up prior to market, and day-to-day projects assisting the sales team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Manage Samples and Sample Requests:
- Keep track of all samples in closet and those that are sent out.
- Communicate with account on final outfit and any particular styling requirements.
- Take archive photos and create database of prior seasons that can viewed on shared drive or in book.
- Prepare for quarterly merchandise directive photo shoot by pulling product and ensuring that all best booked styles are shot.
- Prepare for best seller meetings by having all samples pulled and organized by rank and delivery.
- Ensure sample closet is organized.
Ensure Market runs smoothly from start to finish:
- Receive, unpack, and check in all samples for market for all lines received.
- Track samples as they arrive, communicate their arrival to the designers and operations.
- Add necessary information to each individual tag as samples are checked in.
- Make certain showroom set-up is completed on time.
- Work closely with visual on merchandising of showroom, concept, and rigging of mannequins.
- Make necessary changes to samples after drop meetings including pulling drops out of showroom and changing any product info on the tags.
- Prepare product and act as “lead” in drop and edit meetings.
- Ensure changes in the line are executed on the line list after drop meetings.
- Communicate with merchandising any misses.
- Work with design to ensure that all styles that did not arrive in time or were late adds have cards in the showroom.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in sales or showroom atmosphere
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Skills:
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Strong sense of urgency; Strong prioritization & follow-up skills
- Excellent at handling changing priorities; multi-tasking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be proactive and resourceful with all tasks
