MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Shop Manager position is responsible for the management of multiple Michael Kors wholesale Accessories and Footwear shop-in-shop’s within an assigned department store -Macy's Roseville Galleria. Duties include acting as a MK Sales Ambassador to ensure there is proper selling support and direction, achieving and driving full price sales, conducting trainings, clienteling, and maintaining visual and operational standards. Shop Manager will ensure there is overall support and retail partnership for the benefit of the Michael Kors shop-in-shop business.

SALES GENERATION:

  • Allocate time in each Shop in Shop based on volume and business need in partnership with District Manager
  • Meet and exceed shop-in-shop sales goals through team selling and partnership with department store staff in each assigned family of business
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and ownership of each business by creating big picture strategies to drive sales
  • Track sales and monitor business metrics to increase add-ons and full price sales by department and encourage cross selling between departments to wardrobe the client from head to toe
  • Motivate Retail Partner Selling Specialists to meet and exceed sales and productivity goals, ensure they are fluent in all aspects of the business

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Model the way for store associates by engaging every customer within the shop-in-shop by utilizing Michael Kors’ selling service strategies and techniques and team selling
  • Partner with Associates by department to drive sales and exceed customer service standards through development of a personal client database
  • Partner with Retail Partners and Michael Kors Corporate partners to resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Ensure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image, and adhered to at all times

VISUAL

  • Ensure Visual Excellence standards are exceeded during floor sets with each new shipment for each family of business
  • Partner with Retail Partner’s Visual Manager to ensure all graphics are current by department and visual excellence is maintained

TRAINING

  • Train Retail Partner’s to implement and maintain all MK brand standards by department to provide an elevated and brand consistent in store experience
  • Conduct regular product knowledge, sales, and visual excellence trainings for in store sales and visual team
  • Train and partner with existing Retail Partner’s at a management level to gain support in operations, product replenishment, and day-to-day events

COMMUNICATION

  • Provide training, product, and competitive recaps to District Manager, Senior Director of Stores, Corporate Office, and Retail Partners
  • Develop clear, consistent, and organized methods of communication with District Manager, corporate office, and Retail Partners on a weekly basis via email, phone calls, and/or in-person meetings

OPERATIONS

  • Attend workload planning meetings in partner with Dock Manager and Merchandising Team to confirm deliveries are properly processed and on the selling floor in a timely manner for each family of business
  • Oversee stock room maintenance and presentation, ensuring any organizational issues are addressed in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3  year(s) retail management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong fashion sense
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer programs used by the company including Apple Software and Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to increase sales and profitability
