Shipping & Receiving Manager
Overview:
The Donna Karan Company LLC, one of the world's leading fashion design houses, seeks a Shipping & Receiving Manager to join the team!
Responsibilities:
Inventory:
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing stock and its accompanying paperwork is processed properly in a timely manner
- Ensure discrepancies are reported and resolved immediately
- Effectively use and provide training for all systems in relation to the shipping/receiving department
- Properly execute and maintain all paperwork and procedures relative to inventory control
- Maintain all shipping/receiving equipment and systems
- Effectively participate in the timely preparation and completion of all inventories
- Manage the inventory reconciliation process
Customer Service:
- Assist sales staff in retrieving merchandise from stock areas
- Ensure highest standards in the wrapping and packaging client merchandise
- Manage all aspects of the client delivery process (i.e. fed ex, messenger) to ensure client satisfaction
- Participate in the maintenance of all visual and merchandising standards and directives
Operations:
- Collaborate with and support Loss Prevention department in all areas of risk management, physical security, store controls, inventory management, inter-store communication and LP audits and procedures
- Support the visual, merchandising and operations of the store in regards to the movement of fixtures, furniture, merchandise, props, etc.
- Maintain and order all supplies necessary for department
Merchandise Maintenance:
- Maintain offsite in an efficient, clean, secure, organized and accessible fashion and communicate this method of organization to all associates
- Ensure proper handling and care of merchandise
- Ensure all merchandise is ticketed and sensored
- Participate in the maintenance of stock levels on the selling floor
Human Resources:
- Recruit, train, and develop staff that work in the offsite
- Ensure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image, and adhered to at all times
- Continually evaluate the performance of the shipping receiving staff and provide constant feedback to improve results
- Assist in the recruitment, training and development of shipping staff
- Participate in staff meetings, training and seminars
Qualifications:
Work Experience: 2 years retail experience in the area of shipping/receiving
Special Skills: Computer literate
