SHIPMENT PLANNING ANALYST

 

Overview:

 

The Shipment Planning Analyst will be responsible for planning and analyzing inbound import shipments from our worldwide global logistics network inbound to the US and Canada along with international 3PL activities, operations include ocean, consolidation, transload, air, and trucking. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, analyze, and monitor the flow of imports inbound to the US and Canada to ensure efficient on-time product delivery, key countries of origin include Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and India
  • Make planning decisions regarding product flow based on best price and lane optimization
  • Provide daily performance and quarterly business reviews from logistics
  • Oversee internal logistics customer service to sourcing and planning teams for day to day problem resolution as well as strategic delivery planning
  • Monitor and maintain logistics tracking system data across the supply chain and complete management reporting
  • Participate and facilitate quarterly business reviews with internal customers
  • Provide freight cost estimates for specific programs
  • Maintain key partnerships with internal teams, including Finance, Sourcing, Planning, and IT
 

 

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation / logistics
  • Experience in retail industry
  • Prior experience with SAP

 

 

Skills and Behaviors:

  • Must have in depth analytical skills to interpret shipping data and freight cost related analysis
  • Largest amount of focus required will be with global consolidator
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all departments/levels of management
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong Microsoft Excel analytical skills a must
  • Ability to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
