Job Description

Reporting Relationships: The Senior Treasury Analyst reports to the DVP or Treasury.

Major Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the DVP of Treasury, the Senior Treasury Analyst will provide backup for other treasury team members as required. This role will be involved in complex financial modeling, specifically with cash flows. This role interacts with a number of departments and requires an expert communicator.

 

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

 

  1. Provide backup for other treasury team members (daily cash management, FX, etc.).
  2. Manage documentation, signing authorities, bank account information, contracts, KYC, etc
  3. Building and working with complex financial modeling of cash flows.
  4. Manipulating data from various systems to provide up to the minute analysis
  5. Coordinating and communicating activities with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Coordinating support for internal and external audits
  7. Continual process review to develop best practices and identify systematic improvements
  8. Other projects as required

 

 

Qualifications

Personal Characteristics:

 

The successful candidate must be an expert communicator and have the ability to turn concepts into action. He/she should embody a culture of taking smart risks and innovating to win. He/she must be a self-starter and should be comfortable working in an ever changing environment and working under pressure to strict deadlines. He/she must be comfortable with repetitive tasks but have advance critical thinking skills, the ability to build and execute complex models and an eagerness to learn. 

 

 

 

Professional Qualifications:

 

 

  • At least two years of experience creating complex financial modelling and demonstrable expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Two plus years performing complex statistical and financial analysis of data
  • Treasury experience in cash management, banking, financial statements, debt compliance and risk management is an asset

 


Educational Credentials:

 

 

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
  • University degree in Finance, or Business with a focus on Finance / Accounting
  • Accounting designation is an asset
