Senior Team Leader - City Centre, Houston

Reports To: Store Management

Overview:
Provide an exceptional customer experience and prioritize service both in actions and training for the store team.  Assist in driving sales, key metrics, profitability and loss prevention in the store.  Collaborate with store management team in supervision of store operations.  Help maintain a store environment that is engaging and inspiring to the customer as well as the store team.

Job Skills:

Customer Experience

  • Effectively manage customer service by helping follow daily goals and expectations that promote an engaging and personalized experience for each customer
  • Offer elevated customer service by acting as an example to the store team on customer engagement, operational responsibilities, and time management
  • Knowledgeable and able to train team on usage of customer resources, such as the UO App and MPOS

 

Communication + Collaboration

  • Foster a culture of strong communication and teamwork to ensure a seamless balance of operational, visual, and training priorities
  • Aid in circulation of new, important Company information reaches all levels through the use of Threads and store communication, including training on Omni resources such as MPOS
  • Actively contribute in daily and store meetings, exhibiting strong knowledge around company initiatives and product knowledge

 

Business Acumen

  • Help drive store sales through providing excellent customer service, strong business analysis, maintaining a high-energy pace, and helping with the execution of key operational tasks such as markdowns, Pack + Ship and In Store Pick Up
  • Act as a support to store management team, assisting in management tasks and duties (opening and closing, shipment receipt, performance of back office responsibilities)
  • Able to prioritize and delegate tasks within the store while maintaining focus on the Customer Experience
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, and all other Policy and Procedure

 

Merchandising + Display

  • Able to train team on product knowledge, sharing information about new and relevant product with the Sales Associate team
  • Collaborate with team to ensure a fast and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor
  • Help coach store team on promotions available both in-store as well as online, allowing every team member to provide the customer a seamless shopping experience
  • Assist in merchandising and display projects as needed, while also maintaining Urban Outfitters’ visual and display standards
