SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Tax Department in Paramus, New Jersey as Senior Tax Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for preparation of Movado’s global ASC 740 reporting and US federal income tax returns. You will also assist the department on special projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

- Preparation of global tax provision in accordance with ASC740, related analysis and footnote disclosures

- Prepare the federal and state consolidated income tax returns

- Assist in preparation of foreign income tax returns

- Manage workload to meet all filing deadlines

- Assist in preparation of financial analysis for transfer pricing documentation

- Calculate extension and quarterly estimated tax payments

- Assist with federal and state tax audits

- Prepare journal entries

- Assist with special projects

- Develop and maintain knowledge of tax accounting and income tax laws and current developments

- BS in Accounting required

- CPA or working toward

- MS/MBA in Tax or Accounting desirable but not required

- 3-5+ years tax experience, including public accounting

- 2 year of ASC 740 experience required

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

- Strong analytical skills

- Must be detailed oriented and organized

- Must be a self-starter, creative thinker and problem solver

- Ability to be flexible, re-arrange priorities as necessary, and to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

- Excellent Excel skills required

- SAP, OIT and OTP experience a plus
