SENIOR KNIT & WOVEN DESIGNER

Job Description

• Collaborate with Design Director to develop knit & woven categories for multiple lines
• Contribute new design concepts and ideas seasonally
• Sketch into best-selling bodies, tears, and original concepts with Designer’s direction
• Manage cut tickets for in-house sample room development to ensure samples are executed properly and in a timely manner
• Work closely with development Technical Designers to develop styles with overseas factories and agents
• Assist in proto fittings when needed
• Communicate with overseas agents throughout entire design process to manage and track sample development.
• Obtain costs from factories for management line reviews
• Manage the preparation of garments for Showroom presentations- trimming, steaming, labeling, and photographing
• Compose weekly market research report

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of women’s contemporary design experience- knits /wovens preferred
• Bachelor degree in Fashion Design
• Advanced skills in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Proficiency in hand sketches and Illustrator flats
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude
