Senior Financial Analyst

Position Responsibilities

• Develop (or assist in the development of) the annual budget and semi-annual update for the Division, including Store Payroll, 4-wall and Direct expenses.
• Liaise with the Accounting department to resolve transaction and variance related issues during the month-end close process, to deliver an accurate and timely close for the Division.
• Manage the monthly expense reconciliation and projection process for the Division, partnering with expense owners or brand partners to understand variance drivers, and inform forward looking projections.
• Manage the Store Payroll projection process for the Division, including updating workforce hours, sales drivers, rate information, etc. Manage various other payroll reporting needs.
• Assist the Field/Store Operations team by identifying expense savings opportunities, and developing relevant reporting and steering project related initiatives.
• Manage and update various by store P&L files and reports.
• Ad-hoc analysis and various other reporting across Divisional departments.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration required, MBA preferred.
• 3-4 years of business experience in corporate finance/financial planning and analysis role, or related finance/analytical role.
• Advanced MS Excel skills are mandatory for this role, must be an MS Excel power user with advanced spreadsheet management/financial model building skills and ability to easily manipulate large volumes of data, build and use advanced macros/pivot tables/v- and h-lookups, etc.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting processes, income statement/balance sheet/cash flow impact of financial decisions, as well as discounted cash flow and return on invested capital analyses.
• Knowledge and experience of SAP and Cognos preferred.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to provide thought leadership and identify financial, operational and process improvement opportunities.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, ability to present a cohesive story or solution to management.
• Must deal effectively with ambiguities and be able to manage multiple projects through completion, often under tight deadlines.
