Essential Functions
-Create impactful customer-facing editorial and promotional copy across all saks.com digital channels: primarily site navigation, emails, mobile
-Collaborate closely with design team and merchandising to distill marketing initiatives into focused editorial content
-Concept, develop and write 360 degree communications for the Saks Fifth Avenue brand
Additional Responsibilities
-Brainstorm seasonal strategies and campaigns that will translate across digital and print platforms
-Contribute to print projects when needed, specifically catalogs, store visuals and signage
-Conduct research on fashion news and cultural trends
-Conduct interviews with the fashion office, buyers and fashion designers to inform the stories told in copy
Qualifications
-5+ years experience as an editorial writer in a retail, publishing or agency environment
-Creative thinker and storyteller
-Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
-Proven ability to work across teams and distill marketing and merchandising initiatives into creative content
-Works proactively to solve problems
-Exceptional proofreading and time management skills
-Self-starter who is detail-oriented and an enthusiastic team player
