Role Summary

The Senior Editorial Copywriter is part of a dual-banner copy team that supports digital initiatives for Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay. This role will be responsible for writing weekly digital content (including homepages, banners, emails and editorial features) and adhering to brand standards across all media. This position also plays an integral role in developing creative concepts for seasonal campaigns and branding initiatives.

 

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Create impactful customer-facing copy for homepages, banners, emails and editorial features
  • Review all digital assets for accuracy, clarity and style
  • Liaise with print copywriters to ensure consistent messaging across channels
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Design and Merchandising to manage project schedules and expectations

 

 

Additional Responsibilities

 

  • Work with Associate Copy Director and DVP of Brand Messaging on seasonal campaigns and ongoing branding initiatives
  • Contribute to print projects as needed, specifically catalogs, store visuals and signage 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years experience as a writer in a retail, publishing or agency environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work across teams and distill marketing and merchandising initiatives into creative content
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and adapt to project needs
  • Self-starter who is detail oriented and an enthusiastic team player
