Senior Director, Apparel Sales

Bemis Associates, a leading manufacturer of heat activated films, adhesives, water proofing seam tapes, and custom films for many industries including apparel, consumer electronics, and handbags is seeking a motivated and strategic leader to join our Sales team in the position of Senior Director of Apparel Sales.

Essential Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Global Director of Sales & Marketing, this position will be responsible for accelerating growth in an already rapidly growing category. This sales leader will be responsible for all global sales, new business development and customer experience activities in this category. This person will oversee goal setting and achievement for all territories in this category, key account partnership development, new client identification and acquisition and opportunity conversion.

How you can contribute:

  • Provide critical oversight to the development, maintenance and execution of territory and key account plans
  • Build mutually beneficial, strategic relationships with executives at key clients
  • Lead territory teams to ensure attainment of strategic and financial objectives
  • Work closely with business partners to identify and win opportunities
  • Create plan to increase customer and market share
  • Provide leadership/mentorship and business acumen to the Apparel sales, customer experience and business development organization
  • Create sales goals and timelines for each account; prepare and follow-up on detailed proposals, which speak directly to customer needs
  • Support organizational planning process, i.e. Forecast and SIOPs, through Opportunity tracking and Sales Pipeline
  • Provide regular reporting on sales and marketing efforts/, e.g. Visit Reports, CRM contacts, Market Priorities, Product Ideation list, etc
  • Demonstrate leadership in the Plan To Make Plan sales management process and the Value Selling sales framework
  • Provide market and VOC input to Sportswear Market Strategy (MST) and Market Execution Team (MET)
  • Ensure demand planning input accuracy into SIOPS to meet operational needs
  • Oversee opportunity pipeline and deliver measurable improvements to opportunity conversion rates.

What you need:

  • 10-15 years of progressive sales leadership experience working for apparel brands or apparel industry supplier with proven results in growing revenue
  • Experience in implementing and/ or leading a value selling process is highly desirable
  • Results oriented with the ability to identify and prioritize opportunity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency of all MS Office products. (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% including international travel.
