Reporting Relationship: Digital Design Manager
Major Responsibilities:

The Senior Digital Designer develops on-brand solutions for Saks weekly digital marketing communications. The solutions developed by the Senior Digital Designer should visually express the tone of the brand and specific business/usability needs, creative/project briefs and brand/visual style guide standards.
Role responsibilities include:
· Explore trends and competitive landscape and incorporate appropriate use of color, type, tone and editorial style/ standards into digital designs
· Assist Digital Design Manager in developing and communicating brand/visual style guidelines and standards
· Collaborate with various business partners to create and produce compelling digital solutions that:
- leverage and utilize appropriate interactive functionality
- align with all requirements and business objectives outlined in project initiation documentation
- are delivered with brand compliance
- consider customer/merchandise differences that may impact visual strategies
QualificationsRequirements:
· Bachelor of Fine Arts degree required with emphasis on interactive design, graphic design or communications – Master’s degree a plus
· 5+ years of Digital design experience in:
- initiating and creating interactive solutions based on existing strategies, concepts, templates and brand guidelines
- collaborating and communicating with design partners
· Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
· Presentation abilities – able to communicate design concepts clearly and effectively
· Understanding of components, cycle times, production and distribution requirements of digital creative deliverables
· Strong communication, organizational and people skills
· Strong project and time-management skills – able to balance and prioritize workload and adjust to shifting business needs/priorities
· Excellent design sense and ability to articulate design strategy to business partners and design team
