SENIOR ALLOCATOR

General Summary:

The Senior Allocator is responsible for working with and giving direction to the Allocation team to manage the Allocation of appropriate levels of inventory to our stores. He/she will analyze inventory levels and identify opportunity based on history and trends data.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop new Allocators.
  • Work with Store Planning to meet new store opening needs around the division/department level and maintain timelines for distribution.
  • Review appointment log and confirm PO Dispos.; replenish stores from backstock inventory, and allocate new floorsets.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings to better understand current strategies/focus; work with merchandising to maintain/define present minimums.
  • Review sales/stock by category/region to identify opportunities.
  • For each new floorset, give rank direction to team and track styles that we have received.
  • Develop knowledge of store and regional level performance through data analysis and develop short and long-term strategies.
  • Utilize reporting tools to perform analysis to help refocus strategies with immediate impact to stores.
  • Manage special projects for area of responsibility (test merchandise, visual minimums, events).

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of Island Pacific (IP), MicroStrategy, and SAS Allocation, Size Profiling & Size Optimization applications preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, track and complete multiple and competing priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional team.
  • Mathematical Aptitude.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
