SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – Handbags

Responsibilities:

Sales

  • management of larger department store/online accounts with a strategic focus on quality of sale
  • lead seasonal category product strategies, showroom presentations and assortment recommendations by client
  • fluid communication on a weekly basis; developing strong relationships with key department store contacts
  • take a proactive approach to making recommendations to further drive the business, identify and react to new opportunities
  • fiscal responsibility to include: weekly order confirmation both fashion and replenishment/reorders/bulk order integrity/daily shipping/ monthly allocation calls
  • in partnership with director, create strategic initiatives for the business complexities, that align with overall wholesale business, global strategies and effectively impact the final wholesale client’s point of sale experience
  • effectively communicate goals and partner with internal cross-functional teams, to include dtc/ecom, international, marketing, merchandising, licensing, customer service, AP and AR
  • keep abreast of competitive market place
  • flagship responsibility, NYC store visit 1x per week
  • opportunity for direct report with account responsibility

Planning

  • direct accountability for financial budgets and expense chargebacks
  • fluid relationship with account planners to revise projections to support business demand, determine risk and opportunity across category
  • maximize brand profitability, further develop replenishment strategy and management
  • partner with planner to manage open-to-buy (otb), forecasting and assortment recommendation plan by month, analyze market share to impact regionalized opportunities

Marketing

  • partner with cross-category leaders within wholesale to leverage lifestyle brand focus
  • partner with marketing to effectively communicate brand and seasonal product initiatives filtering through the wholesale lens, to the final customer via digital, print and in-store collateral
  • partner with field sales team, on in-store presentation and standards, bringing seasonal strategies to life at point of sale
  • manage online presentation and brand shop recommendations with marketing support
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in a wholesale environment working with major department stores
  • prior experience working with Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Shop Bop, Saks and Neiman Marcus
  • thrives in a fast pace environment
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • proficient in Microsoft programs to include: excel, powerpoint and outlook
  • solution oriented, strong problem solving skills, takes accountability
  • sense of urgency and attention to detail; accuracy
  • self-motivated, ability to take initiative to complete tasks quickly and independently
  • ability to manage multiple, complex accounts independently
  • clear understanding of retail financial measurements
  • travel expectation at least 3-4x per year
  • exemplary level of customer service
